The Brief: The original Marie Todd home fragrance lineup included several fragrances that were cheekily named after male archetypes that embodied the woodsier and muskier scents in the line. These more masculine fragrances became fan favorites and soon top performers in the line. This success brought on the strategic move to spin off the “Men’s” fragrances into its own brand, thus birthing the MTodd Men’s Collection. The line was to be completely revamped and re-launched as a stand alone product line and brand.
Roles: Product Development / Creative Project Management / Brand & Product Marketing Strategy
Product Development: Managed development of a new men’s luxury fragrance line in a developing market. Conducted market research, competitive analysis, product/market testing, and manufacturing testing.
Creative Project Management: Managed and coordinated brand development and design of the new stand alone men’s fragrance line. Managed and coordinated product and packaging design, promotional marketing materials, and e-commerce/web design with in-house and contracted creative teams.
Brand & Marketing Strategy: Designed and implemented brand messaging and product marketing strategies across all sales platforms (e-commerce, showroom and sales reps, retail, trade shows, online and traditional print marketing). Coordinated and managed PR, social media and copywriting team members to keep brand messaging consistent and inline with the overall marketing stratagies.
